One of our helpful representatives will fill out a form that creates a ticket in our system and that sets the wheels in motion. Whether it’s a minor technical problem or a more significant issue, our team is equipped to handle it efficiently and effectively, providing expert solar panel troubleshooting. We’ll ask for details about the issue, such as when it started and any relevant symptoms, such as electric breakers tripping, solar panels underproducing, or potential roof condition concerns.

In some cases, our team may be able to troubleshoot the issue remotely. We may provide you with specific instructions or suggest simple solutions that you can implement yourself. Often, like a lot of electronics, simply turning it off and back on again might be the resolution, and we’ll tell you how to do it.

  • Monthly Health Checks: Subscribers to one of our Service Plans get a monthly report analyzing their system production and checking for any alerts. If the system is not producing, or has lost a significant amount of power production, it triggers our Warranty team to jump into action. We offer a Performance Guarantee, which means if we don’t catch it within 30 days, we’ll reimburse you for the equivalent expected lost production until the fix is in place.
  • Solar Panel Cleaning: If you live in an area with a lot of dust, smoke, or other airborne particulates and debris, you might notice your panels starting to lose their shine. A certain amount of degradation is expected, but it’s usually just a fraction of a percent each year. If you notice greater dips in production, it could be time for a scrubdown. This annual service is included for subscribers to our Premier Service Plan.
  • Multi-Point System Inspection: To go beyond the surface level, consider scheduling a visit from a solar technician for a comprehensive multi-point inspection. This annual service is included for subscribers to either our Advantage or Premier level Service Plans.
  • Critter Guard: Do you live near a lot of pigeons or squirrels? They may seem relatively harmless for being such tiny animals, but they can cause a lot of damage to wiring and roofing material, not mention a health hazard, if they decide to start nesting underneath your solar array. We can install low-profile protective mesh around the perimeter of your panels to stop them from getting in.
  • Removal & Reinstallation for Re-Roofing: Most roofs last decades, but so do solar systems. That could mean that, somewhere along the timeline, your roof will be on it’s last legs and need to be replaced while your solar is still doing fine. That’s where ESP shines, because of our in-house Roofing department. We offer something that most other roofers cannot; the expertise to safely unplug and reconnect all of the solar components without violating the manufacturer warranty. We’ll even offer a modest discount on the service when bundled with a quote from our standalone Roofing sales team.
